Apologies in advance if this is covered elsewhere, but can anyone suggest to me or point me to best practices wrt attaching a print.css style sheet to a portal?

Regards
Stuart

I suggest to have a look at PrintTemplate skin object from dnnjungle.vmasanas.net

I am currently trying to create a DNN skin and find it frustrating that there is no simple way to include a print media CSS sheet. This is the standard way of doing things on the web, and it should not be necessary to resort to a Print Template skin object. Is there no way to include a reference to a print media style sheet in the head of the page via skinning? If not, from a design point of view, this is a major shortcoming of DNN. (Would there be a way to create a simple skin object that would, for example, add a references to a print media style sheet in the appropriate part of the page head?)

AFAIK you can specify the CSS classes per media, but if you use templatePrint , you can specify a dedicated skin and container with optimized custom CSS.

You may want to download the code of:

Free Skin - Simple Red Leaf CSS Skin

I created a separate print.css file for the skin and you can look at the code for how I did it. - There are other methods I have experimented with as well using @import

Hope this helps, thanks,

Lee
