I have found the BUG !!!
I was completely disappointed, and I was building my web from the very beginning, on a new fresh 4.5.1, when suddenly, I applied the parameter I used to, and the bug re-appeared !!!

It is linked to the compression settings... (once again this old compression setting give me some problems...)

Try the following compression settings on a new fresh install:

Now, with these settings (exactly as above), try to insert images into a HTML/Text module (or ANY other module - ALL have the same behavior). You will experience my problem (2 times out of 3, I am redirected to the module editing, and not the page with my modification...).
Now that I have put "normal settings", everything is ok... (even my problem with Ventrian News Article, where "Launch Links" was causing severe error message... You can try, Scott, to use these settings, and you will see that with "launch links", it gives some problems.

I will also post into the general forum, because I think it is linked to the compression method and combination of parameter.
Posted here.

Declic

From you configuration I may assume that you have more that 20GB of RAM?.. hehe (All stored in ram and heavy caching could kill my servers)

I have a question for you. have you ever tested those settings one by one? (Not all together)

I see that the problem is just the viewstate storage in memory (New feature). Heavy caching can cause some problems when editing too if you have chaching time enabled into this module instance

As I told you before, this is not a problem of the FCKeditor provider. This is a problem with the text/html module and you will get more help in the correct forum

People are thinking the provider has problems because this kind of posts. also, people in charge of the text/html module could never read these posts because they are not in the forums they read.

A suggestion for you: Always try to test default configurations before applying customizations. So you will able to post helpful information within your posts

I forgot to mention that I use compression since DNN 3.2.2 (Deflate). All FCKeditor provider were build using a site with compression enabled (I use DSLocalizator to save viewstate and whitespace remover)

So, compression was tested in each DNN version

Also, I tested the settings declic put here over 50+ sites and the only setting producing the same behavior was the viewstate in memory

Hello Locopon,

I agree with you, it is better to use default setting, but once you have modified it, you do not remember which one if the default (this would be a good enhancement to be able to recall default setting)....
But once again, this problem is not linked to Text/HTML nor to other modules, because it happens with ALL modules which use FCK. For me, the problem only happen when FCK is ON. If I use FTB, no problem.
