Hello,

With the various problems I encountered in the past, I would like to start over with a new fresh full 4.5.1.
But I already have content in my website, and I do not want to re-type/re-install/re-do everything.
Apart the "import" functionnality, is there anything to know that could help me and speed up the process ??
I know that Mariette has a solution if I correctly remember...

Just a thought, but you could "export" the site and it's content as a template, then copy the template files to the new install's default folder.  From there you could launch a new site, or "convet" the main site to the "type" of the new template, which would then load all your content.

Probably just a way of "hacking" a real import/export of the data, but it would probably work.

Thanks eclayf, that's a good idea. But do you know if I have to re-install every module/skin beforehand or is it automatic ??
My template file looks big (~50 Mb), should contain a lot of things !!

I would need advice of someone who already performed such kind of operation (or who knows exactly how it is done). If it is better to re-do everything by hand, I will do it (even if it is long), but I would like to have a clean install (to solve two of my actual problem: problem 1 - problem 2 / because it seems that I am alone with my problem, no answer provided for the problem 2 after few days)

I have just tried it, it seems to work very well, but I still have minor problem:
Where do I put my skin to install it automatically ?? (in which folder)
Where do I put the localised install package to install it automatically ? (in which folder)
For the template, since I did not know exactly, I have put it inside: Portals/_default/ and also Portals/_default/Templates
If someone can confirm where it is the best ? I do not find the documentation for these kind of things (documentation is only available for 4.4.1).

From Admin > Site Wizard, if I try to install my template, I have the following error:

"dv.template is not a valid Portal Template File"
Any idea ?
