Believe it or not, we still have this error on an DNN 3.3.7 installation as well.  It's not a new bug.

We have run all the 'delete' sql statements and turned off the search scheduler.  But of course it's still running and it reindexes the site.  The tables now have thousands of entries in them.

We have researched all of the procedures here (changing the supportedfeatures fields, resetting the tables, etc), but the problem eventually comes back.

Our hosting is webhost4life and they actually turned off our installation for six hours until we convinced them to turn it back on!

I sure would like to know if there is a sure-fire solution to this, not just a couple of workarounds.  We can't find a permanent fix in Gemini either.

Any help out there?

I have hit this issue as well. Disabling SearchEngineScheduler in Host -> Schedule seems to prevent it from occuring.

Is it possible to disable/configure SearchEngineScheduler via configuration file so it is not enabled on installation of the portal?
