For myself I simply use firefox for all content editing which has built in spell checking

I use internet explorer for my web browser. Can I use this to spell check my page content? If so how do I do this?

You would think they would put a spell checker in the rich text editor.

I think what is needed here is an explanation on how the 'Check Spelling" icon on the FCK editor toolbar works.

I can't seem to activate the icon. It simply remains greyed out/disabled. Some googling revealed this link:

It appears that DNN has pre-configured the spell checker with ieSpell, because it "auto" installs when you click spell in IE.

However, I want to use Firefox, but its built-in spell checker is not working in the FCK editor.

What did you do to have it work?

The default speller comes defined in the default FCKeditor package. DNN tries to use the default options as well.

Follow the instructions on the FCKeditor wiki to configure the speller pages system (Need PHP).

The spell system is part of the editor and not part of the provider
