Some improvements in this version:

Better handling of AJAX
With the newest version of DNN (4.5.1) AJAX was introduced throughout - If your action menus are spinning and not showing, then this may be the problem.

Even better startup performance

Debug Tracing

Great stuff John.

Do you have any stats in regards to performance gain when running on DNN 4.5.1 with compression & whitespace filter with and without PageBlaster?

Don't know if it is worthwhile running both DNN compression and PageBlaster at the same time if they are doing the same thing and the performance gain result is not significant but there is a server penalty in terms of CPU and other resources.  Or does Pageblaster replaces DNN compression?

I'm not sure this is correct but, i don't recommend using both tools at same time.

Hi makeportal,

I have measured an increase in performance of 600% using PageBlaster with DNN 4.5.1. during load testing on a single page.

This was confirmed recently when PageBlaster was added to DNN 4.4.1 being used in a very large webfarm (over 20 webservers) at http://www.afl.com.au
Before PageBlaster they were sustaining 36 Requests Per Second (RPS). After adding PageBlaster they were sustaining 366 RPS while running their load tests and that was with only a one minute cache duration.
They also saw a drop in their DB CPU from 80% to less than 20%.

Note: These tests are for unauthenticated  users allowing the complete page to be cached.  PageBlaster also has caching by role and individual user, but the rate of return is not nearly as good because you can't deliver the same cached page to all your users.

PageBlaster has it's own compression filter so you don't need the core compression module when using it.
Another  added advantage when doing compression and caching is that the complete and compressed page is cached once and returned on every request instead of having to compress it again on every request like the core module does.
