Hi,

I can't find any other users with this problem, so it's probably just me. I experience this on 4.5 and 4.5.1. Saving the user profile wont store some of the information. I suspect this has something to do with me fiddeling around with the custom profiles properties in an earlier version of DNN.

  • The core firstname/lastname don't get saved, but the emailadress and display name do get saved and the page do not return an error. Also tried as admin.
  • Saving my custom profile properties get saved in the DB and a confirmation email get sendt, but the page return a Page Load Exception (see below). Also tried as admin.
  • When saving custom profile properties for other users (as admin), the page dont return any error. The core core firstname/lastname do not get saved when editing other users.
  • When registering new users, the name columns dont get saved, but the registration do succeed (it get pass the required fields check).

Is there a way to reset DNN back to the default profile fields? Could this be fixed? I do not want to reinstall DNN, there is too much information stored.

Hi,

I think my problem is solved. This happened only on one portal where I had deleted some of the required user profile properties.

After adding FirstName, LastName and PreferredLocale things now work as normal. The first/lastname explain why they didnt save in the first place (I thought those fields was divided from the custom user properties page), and the core PreferredLocale is a required field that, of course, return the error above.

Great!

Kind regards,
Steinar
