yeah it works now, but i don't even know how i fixed it. some combination of reinstalling asp.net 2, restarting the server, and some other stuff...

I will second this recommendation the performance impacts of those two tables is INSANE if they get very big at all.

Also I would check the overall size of your DB and log file.

well, thanks for the info, but i dont think these would be a problem - the site has only been online a few days and wouldn't have a lot of traffic. it wasn't really a performance problem anyways, there was something wrong with IIS so that it wasn't serving any dotnet pages.
