I use MaximumASP to host my DNN website.  Because of the configuration, the root of my website with MaxASP hosts the core source code of everything for DNN.  I need to be able to add folders for some of my users to upload .html files sometimes, along with some ASP.NET code that doesn't need to be a module.  However, when I add folders, and then type in the URL of a .HTML file within one of these folders I create, it just automatically redirects me back to the default.aspx page of DNN.

You can see for yourself as my homepage URL is http://www.mappinc.com

The folder I created was called "ChrisStuff" and I have just a simple "default.aspx" page in this folder.  So the URL would be http://www.mappinc.com/ChrisStuff/default.aspx and when entered, it just throws you RIGHT back to http://www.mappinc.com

So my question is how can I create a folder and just leave it independant of DNN?  I am running DNN 3.3.7.

Thanks so much!!

Chris Ryhal

With the default.aspx page my guess is that Friendly URL's is taking the link and modifying it.  You could setup a special rule in your friendly URL's config to direct to the correct page, or you might have to turn off friendly URL's

I have tried to diable, and have failed horribly.  Could you please explain how to disable the friendly URL as you instructed?

Your help and advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks so much!
