Just my 2cents but Ventrian does an excellent job using token based templates in their news module. It's simple to implement, easy to extend, and gives a ton of flexibility to the end user without having to edit template files.

Can you point us to the Source Code (or tutorial)?

It's a commercial app but I sent Scott Mcculloch an email and referenced this thread asking if he would be open to sharing.

If you would like to try the module on one of my staging servers favance it could be arranged.

Excelent job Allan!!!

I've made an upgrade from DNN 4.3.5 TO DNN 4.5.1 , I've unistalled 3.3.7 and I've installed the events module 3.3.8.  Everything seems to work fine for me ( I'm getting notified when a user is enrolling and I can send email to the user after I'm approving the enrollment, etc. ). Sweet !!!!!!

Just a small question. How can I change the default text in the notification email that I'm sendind to the enroller from the moderation panel, after I'm approving the enrollment? I've tried to add some text using the language editor ( the default text shows now as changed ), but the user is still getting the same default message?

Can you help please?

I noticed that when I’m choosing to deny an enrollment , that particular enrollment is deleted from the database and a notification cannot be sent to the user ( as stated in the module, an of course logical, because there is no enrollment request in the database anymore).
I think it should be more appropriate to do not delete the enrollment request from the database. A notification to the denied user should be sent ( as it is to the approved user ), so the user will have the opportunity to check the website and see the status of his enrollment.
Or, maybe, it will be nice to have two separate email forms that can be sent to the enroller, one for the approved users and one for the denied users, stating their enrollment status.
I have no idea if what I’m talking about here makes any sense at all to you guys, but I think that it can be  a subject to be discussed . I repeat that I’m not a programmer , and I might not know what I’m talking about…
