Ok, I have installed the updated module on that same portal - after removing the previous beta. The script error is gone, but the other issue I reported about the "Enable event image" box still happens.

You can check it again on the same site. If you untick the "Enable event image" box and update settings, then go back in, it will be ticked again. I previously assumed it was related to the script error, but I guess it isn't.

Ok Rob...fixed this one and reposted to the site...try 'er now!

Ok yep cool, that seems to work now too. I'm interested in hearing why these issues were not a problem on your setup but were on mine.

The good news is that now I can test the module out properly. I'll be sure to post back anything else I find.

Alan,

I sent you a private mail on this, but in case it went astray . I coded against 03.03.07. I can re-do to 03.03.08, but the code didn't come through. Looks like you are fixing stuff, so let me know when you want me to -re-integrate.

Cheers
Roger

I discovered an issue with your latest release.  Clicking "Disable Month View Cell Events" is supposed to disable the listing of the event on the month view, which lets you click on the day and then view a list of all events.  When "Disable Month View Cell Events" is enabled it has an adverse effect, it brings up a page that says "No events for selected Date", even though there are events, and if I switch to list view, the events are all listed there.  Any idea why this is occuring?

OK.  Here we go again.  I just tested several Dates/Events in this mode...in every case it worked as expected.  Only dates on the Month View that have events are "linked"....and when selecting the link, the "Day View" was displayed with the events for the date.

So, by here we go again....please guys...provide me some details to be able to reproduce  (i.e. versions of DNN and Module used, Type of events, settings, etc...the more you provide, the easier it is going to be for us to get this thing through QA quickly.

Sorry I was not more specific earlier.  I am using a fresh install on DNN 4.5.1 (only modification is skinning) as well as the latest version of your events module that you updated yesterday (5/1) on your website.  THe browsers I am testing in are IE 6, IE 7, and FF2.  I have left the Event module settings on default except for checking "Disable Month View Cell Event" which causes the error I have described in my earlier post.  I have screen shots below to describe what is leading to the error:

1:  I created a test event as show below

2: Here is the event detail for the May 4th event:

3:  I check "Disable Month View Cell Event" while still leaving all the other events settings on default:

4: I click on 'May 4th' expecting to see a list of events occuring for that day but instead get a page displaying 'No Events for selected Date' even though the event is really there as shown above:

5:  This is the page that is supposed to be shown when the Event Day is clicked from screenshot #3 above (I got to this page by clicking 'list events'):

This error has started to occur when you updated the Events module to rectify the clicking of 'My Enrollments' error a couple of weeks that stated to contact the portal admin when a user would click 'My Enrollments'.

Silly question regarding the new version of the events module... and my apologies if it was previously covered - I promise I searched and searched and searched...

Am I missing something?  My calendars used to work through multiple sub-levels... now it seems to only pull events from the top-most level...

I had event modules structured as follows... Front Page Calendar->Training Calendar and Agregate Departmental Calendar->Individual department calendars

Previous version that worked... the front page showed everything from the training calendar... everything from the agregate departmental calendar, AND EVERYTHING FROM THE INDIVIDUAL DEPARTMENT CALS that were rolled up onto the agregate departmental calendar...  That way I only had to add new department calendars to ONE calendar..

Am I missing something?  was this WONDERFUL feature dropped?

Thanks guys!

Chavous
