Sorry for the low end question but I searched the forums and can't find the answer.

I would just like to know how to configure the query string to auto login to a website. I know that some websites use the GET method and some use the POST method. Could someone please give me an example of passing the user name and password using both methods? And if possible pin the answer to the top of this forum?

Or, if this has been answered before or there is documentation could someone point me to the location of the answer?

Thanks

Greg

You can't find an answer because there is none, at least no trivial.

IFrame module can't POST. All GET parameters are visible to the user and view able to him.
I am not aware of any  setup to handle the authentication within the IFrame module.

Solutions might be:
  - custom extension: login page which acts as SingleSignOn also for other appliactions
  - custom extension: webservice to authenticate and query a authentification token
  - using windows authentification in an intranet setup

If you are still looking for something to do this, check out my SW.AutoLogon module.  Should do exactly what you are looking for.

Interesting module, but would it help to log into a non DotNetNuke site inside an Iframe?
