I have a requirement in which i need to display long articles probably 5 pages or more. There will be a no of such articles (200 or more).. i need to display these articles as pure HTML Files via DNN.

Now each time a page is added to DNN, it automatically gets added to the menu structure. If i have to add 200 such pages, imagine the state of the menu.

I am wondering if it is possible that i add a page in DNN without it getting added to the menu structure. That way i can upload these articles, add a link module and link them with the articles.

What is the suggested way to achieve this?

Regards

Abhishek Kant

On the page settings there's a flag to set the page as hidden.
Just use this option and the page will not display on the menu.

Thanks a lot! this is what i was looking for.

Is this the recommended approach for showing 200 or articles? Do you know of sites which have implemented similar functionality?

regards

Abhishek

This is a good approach if you don't want to use any external module for article management.
Otherwise you could try one of this modules and just set one page with that article module and it will do the rest.
Right now I can just think of something from Scott Mcculloch (News articles). Take a look maybe it solves your scenario.
