Newbie stupid question here...

I was trying to use the "installer" to install DNN.  I came across a thread that pointed me here:

I used that installer to install DNN, and I ended up installing version 4.41 under IIS.  I would prefer to install version 4.51 using Visual Web Developer and install it in the file system.  My question is this.  How do I completely uninstall DNN?  Is it by doing the following:

  1. Use SQL Server Management Studio Express to uninstall the DotNetNuke database
  2. Delete the folder C:\InetPub\DotNetNuke
  3. In IIS delete the virtual directory Default Web Site >> DotNetNuke

Have I missed any steps?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

To be really sure you can deleted the cached files from the .NET Framework:
e.g. C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\dnn_source

Once you have completed the above, that fully removes the DNN installation and you shouldn't have an issue at all.
