I recommend (and use) PeerSync for this task. While not the least expensive of products, its flexibility and performance is worth the extra expense.

Ya.  I like PeerSync as well.  Depending on how big the project is, we will use a SAN solution as well.

If you're looking at getting a multi-server DNN site set up, definately give me a call.

Hey Tony,

 

I've set a few projects up such as this and I really don't like the SAN idea, here's why. I just get really nervous at a single point of failure (SAN). I prefer to have the files replicated across the web heads. I dislike the single point of failure so much so,  that in most instances I'll have the DB in transaction replication to a  standy DB server.

So, here's my question. In your particular set-up, do you use the local file system on each server? Or the SAN?

We use both.  The SAN is the master copy which the webservers sync with.
