I cant the search skin object to work, unless i am on the search results page, clicking the search linkbutton just posts the page back on itself and appeds the search terms as a querystring of the url, but doesnt  display the search results or  redirect to the search results page.

having looked at the source to the search skin object , am i correct in assuming  it works out the location of the search results page based upon the module id  of  "Search Results" which returns  the tabid  of where that module exists.

where is that information stored, as i belive the issue could be, being caused by a duplicate id somewhere?

is there anything obvious im missing (first dnn site, still learning)? as it works fine with the search input module...

I have checked that i have a search results module on the search results page
Have checked for duplicate search results pages (page by page, and recycle bin)

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Problems resolved it self, although i am at a loss as too how, as the left it alone for a while and started work on annother project, came back to it for it to be working fine..., the strange bit is that the problem persisted after rebooting several times, then it appears on its own accord to start working???, (the site had been indexed as it worked fine with the search module before)
