Hi All,

I'm using DNN 4.4.1 and want to develop a custom login module, I read in forum I can start off with a copy of the signin.ascx (and code behinde) and extend that.

Using the starter kit I created a module and replaced the view control with the code from signin.ascx and the copied the code behinde (didn't do much changes except some cleanup for class names and such) and installed my module and added it to a page for testing.

If I try to login through my module with any account it doesn't log me in, if I try to login using signin.ascx I get logged in and my module would show the current logged in user and the logout link.

I debugged both controls and went into UserAuthorized and through the code below

'Complete Login

UserController.UserLogin(PortalId, objUser, PortalSettings.PortalName, ipAddress, chkCookie.Checked)

' redirect browser

Response.Redirect(RedirectURL, True)

and both controls passed the same parameters to UserLogin and retured the same value for RedirectURL,

I would really appreciate it if someone can point anying I'm missing or point tips in helping to debug this issue?

Thanks!
