Hello,
 
I'm using DNN 4x and a fairly new user.  My question has to do with the search utility.  I purchased a third-party skin that includes a "search" option in the design in which I would like to use.  Now, I'm sure I missing something as I have never done this before.  But when I place a word in the search field and submit I'm sent directly to a search page with no results.
 
In my opinion it appears that it's working but not finding any results.  What is the search searching?  Where is it pulling it's information from?  Currently, I'm only using a Text/HTML module and the Blog Module.  Any help on how to get the search working would be great!

DNN search, indexes the site once every xxx time, this is set up in the DNN scheduler you can find under the host menu.
And under the host menu there is also the Search admin, where you can set some options for search.

Of course your modules should support the DNN Search functionality before they can get indexed.

There is a GREAT site on DNN Search, made by EckTwo. You can find a lot of information on how to improve DNN Search here.

Ecktwo's site also has a free module to allow one to choose what gets searched on.
