What do the password expiry and reminder settings do and how do I switch this off?

It would be very helpful if the query icons on a given page actually said something useful rather than just reiterating the prompt.

The password expiry setting allows you to force users to change their password after X days.  If it is set to 0, they never have to change the password.  So if you wanted to force a password change after 60 days you would set it to 60.

The Password Expiry Remainder will send an e-mail to users X days before their password expires..
