Michael,

Here's the error I got when using: Setting-up the Environment(without IIS). I followed the instructions exactly. Note the:
00: -   Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
00: -   Portal failed to install:Error!

Do you have any thoughts about what to do?

Did the install Wizard come up during installation? Did it have any errors?

I ran it in auto mode. The only error was the one show in the scripting on the previous reply.

Try it using the normal wizard. That will help you diagnose the problem. The tutorial is the same you just don't select Auto (the tutorial doesn't tell you what to check).
