Preface: I am trying to do a default install of 4.3.7 Starter Kit.

Workstation Setup:

XP SP2 OS w/ IIS installed

SQL 2005 Dev SP 2

DotNet Framework 1,2,3

VS 2005 SP1

---

So far I have only got the install to work correctly 1 time, but I cannot replicate the process nor does my (VS published website) work correctly.

So what's the problem?

After publishing my website, I get the DNN Home Page w/0 banners or standard dnn password information. links that work (login and home) point to empty pages (DNN frames but no content to do anything).  Links that do not work (Register) give errors like: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format.

What I have done thus far:

Uninstall IIS

Reinstall IIS

ASPReg_IIS -i (in both 1 and 2 framework directories)

Delete my SQL Database and recreated it after publishing

Any Pointers?

Well after many attempts...

I decided to try 4.5.1 with it's wizard.  Clean Install worked 1st time without a hitch.

Out!
