After upgrading my site from 4.4.1to 4.5.1 the default page shown is

//mysite/Install/UnderConstruction.htm

help

during upgrade, you should:

  • rename original web.config to web.bak.resources
  • rename release.config to web.config
  • copy all specific settings from your old config to the new web.config (such as connection strings, encryption keys, non standard provider settings)

Most probably your DNN cannot connect to the db...

i ran the install.aspx without upgrade mode next then it showed some upgrade messages

wih one error

'upgrading frm 4.5.0 to 4.51 failed

now my site is loading but none of the modules are

it is connecting to the db as i can login and view users

You should have been given an error message.  Did you see anything with details?

asi said the first time i did it it got me to the under construction page

then i ran install.aspx

and i saw some messages on the page

if i can remember it was something regarding sqlprovider

"upgrading to 4.5.0 success

upgrading to 4.5.1 failed

upgrading other somethings

click here to go to your portal"

when i clicked my site opened but none of the modules are loading

however, i can login and view user accounts - that means db connection is not the problem
