I finally found a way to get into the database... but I have no idea what or how to update it with the alias... can someone help me with what table and how i am supposed to update this... this is a nightmare... :)

anarcap: I got this exact same error page, see this thread.

I am running Vista Business with IIS7 and I am using SQL Server 2000.

I hope you backed up your installation and database. It appears your installation was to version 4.5.1. You might want to restore your original database and try the upgrade again or try upgrading to DNN version 4.5.3. If you don't have a backup and it appears your database is trashed so it won't hurt to try to do the upgrade to 4.5.3 with the database you have. The new version might script in the tables and procedures you don't have in there now.
