I got this errormessage when doing the actual upgrade from Internet Explorer:

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...Upgrading Database to Version ERROR: See C:\WebSites\Advox451\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\04.04.00.log for more information...FAILURE 400 - Conversion from string "ERROR: See C:WebSitesAdvox451Pro" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

I found some errors in the 4.4.0 script, but was able to correct them and run the script in the MS Sql Query Analyser. I have not logfile for this error even though the errormessages states there should be a logfile.

I proceeded to the next script 4.5.0 and it seems to be missing fieldnames in the tables, so probably something more must have failed.

Can Anyone give me directions what to do or should I restore the installation and wait for the next release?

if there are issues with upgrades, there shall be an errorlog file in the stated directory. you should not need to run the scripts manually. As the scripts contain variables, they cannot be run without modification from inside SQL server tools.

Whe trying to run the scripts manually I changed the variables {databaseOwner} and {objectQualifier}, however {databaseOwner} sometimes needed an extra "." in the end, like "dbo." instead of simply "dbo".

Well I did not succeed, and I have not found the suggested error log file: 04.04.00.log, the only logfiles from that date is

The DotNetNuke.Schema.log has so many errors I get show them here. However I cannot find the errormessage indicated in the web interface "FAILURE 400 - Conversion from string "Error: ..." type 'Integer' is not valid"

Any recommendations what to do?

Same problem here.  I'm upgrading from 4.03.04 to 4.5.1.  I started with the "Typical install" option, which gave me the error this thread started with.  Then I tried the Custom which gave me an upgrade log on screen, but most of the modules failed to install and now I get the following error when I try and access my DNN installation:  (dead in the water)

I've tried running this upgrade on two seperate servers and ran into the same problem on both.  I'm using SQL 2000 on an XP Prof machine for one try, and the other was on a provider's machine running SQL2000 but I don't know what OS.

Any idea?

I am getting exactly the same error displayed

 Server Error in '/DotNetNuke' Application.

I am running SQLServer 2005 on a local machine set up - I have tried stepping through code as I have both a normal intall and a source but  it seems to run over the point where the exception is generated - the error is obviously a data error but I am unable to identify where it is occuring
