Active Modules Announces Latest Release of the Active Forums

CHARLESTON, SC- May 8, 2007 (PR WEB) – Active Modules, Inc., a leader in modular software development, announced a new version of their signature product Active Forums. The newest version continues to raise the bar for DotNetNuke® modules and adds features that are not seen with any other forum module on the market.

“With the latest release of DotNetNuke, we are now able to introduce some of the latest technology for web development. The end result allows Active Forums to offer an easier to use and faster user experience”, said Will Morgenweck, President of Active Modules, Inc.

New features and enhancements include:

  • Sub forums – provides an additional level to help organize forum discussions
  • Post previews – quickly and easily preview your content.
  • Themes – select from a series predefined themes or create your own.
  • Digest Notifications - give your users the ability to receive daily or weekly content summaries.
  • Enhanced Search Engine – enterprise search engine that allows for quick and accurate search results.
  • Banner Advertising – Integration with the DotNetNuke banner management system

Several other improvements were added to make the product even easier to manage and to give customers the necessary flexibility for building a successful community.

A few current customers received a beta version of the product to test the new additions and provide Active Modules, Inc. with feedback. After reviewing Active Forums 3.7 Brad Molzen of VinoCellar.com said, "VinoCellar.com needed a forum solution that was fast, flexible, and fully supported. I found that solution with Active Forums. The latest release is a testimonial to how well the team at Active Modules listens to the needs of its customers in creating a truly world class product. I'd highly recommend Active Forums for any site, large or small."

A trial version is available from the Active Modules web site and will allow you to see all of the benefits Active Forums has to offer.
