I only think this happens if the forum base object is nothing.  If that is nothing, i would think there is no moduleid.  I assume the module is not working at all right now.  Has it ever been working on this tab?  Have you tried to place it on another tab?  If so, what were the results?  Can you find the moduleId in the database?  If so, can you see modulesettings or can you direct to a proper url using that moduleid?

The Forum actually works 99% of the time.  The exceptions I'm posting are randomly being hit.  I'll see if I can verify your assumption.

James, sometimes it may not seem this way but I really do appreciate the feedback even on the smallest details.  I want that 99% to be at least 99.99%.  The hardest part is knowing the conditions which it is breaking, sometimes those are configuration problems, not knowing the module, using it a way I never thought of, or simply something else wrong w/ the dnn install.

Please let me know anything else you come across.

I'm all here to help you get to 4 9's.  I know how hard it is to get enough details to fix something with just an exception stack.  I do appreciate your work and help though.  I'll get back to you when I have more details.  I have a sneaking suspicion this may actually have to do with SQLExpress as most the random failures I see appear to expecting valid data back from SQL.  If there is no check to see if the data really is valid, then it blows up.  Hopefully I can help tell you where validation is needed.
