Just wondering if anyone has heard about the DNN Team adding workflow functionality to the core of the software.  I use sharepoint at my work place and it has workflow built in almost every part of the software.  Does anyone know if there is a time table or anything?

As far as I know it is not planned...but that doesn't mean anything.

I tried looking around the site here and didn't see any information either on the roadmap.

Hopefully this will get some attention from a core team member.

Yes, workflow *is* planned for a future release. We realize workflow is a critical component. At my *day* job :) I personally have been developing an enterprise workflow solution utilizing Microsoft's Workflow Foundation for almost a year and half now, and am intimately familiar with the framework. I have started working on a design for implementing workflow within DotNetNuke.

Obviously, at this early stage, and with much discussion remaining on design and implementation, not to mention the actual development :)  it's too early to be discussing timeframes and target releases.

Just wanted to let you all know that we are looking at workflow, and personally I consider it a priority ( amongst many other priorities :)  )

Steve,

Thanks for this information, I understand it is an incredibly complex item and will take a lot of consideration to implement without causing problems for users that are not interested in the functionality but it sheds some light to an eventual solution!
