Hi Chris... just wanted to let you know I've put your Wiki up, and manually moved all my KTomics topics over.  Everything seems to be working right, however, I wanted to inform you about a couple of issues:

1.)  RSS -- The RSS icon is no longer present on the bottom of each topic like it was in KTomics.  I would have thought that the RSS icon would have allowed someone to subscribe to just that one topic.  I have to use the drop down, and hit 'syndicate' now.  What are your plans for its RSS capabilities?

2.)  RSS -- When you subscribe to the RSS feed, it does show which topics have changed, however, when you click on the link to link back to the changed topic, it all just links back to the home page on the Wiki.  I would have thought that each link would link you back to the actual changed topic.  This just makes it harder for the end-user, and have to click more steps to get to the right changed content.

As a sidenote, just wanted to say thanks for bringing this module up on dotnet 2.0, and for your continued dedication to its development.  I hope you've got lots of time and ideas to pour into it.  :)  Was hoping to do my own contribution to it, and provide you with my own wish list... Perhaps you can add to your future specs/requirements.  :)

Wish list:

1.)  I wish there was an easier, non-clunkier way of creating new topics... like make that an option in the left nav area.  It's just too much for someone to actually have to edit a topic, put their doublebrackets around a new topic name, save the content, edit the new topic, go back to the original topic, and take out the double-bracketed link.  It would be nicer to have an 'add topic' option that presents a text box, which you can fill in, and after hitting 'OK', automatically brings up the blank topic.

2.)  Expand on the search... search criteria, etc.  When you search for something, it would be nice to see a little preview of the word/words you were looking for.  Right now, I don't believe there is functionality for wildcards... or at least, that didn't seem to work.

3.) Automatic topic linking inside the content -- it would be neat to see some capability for the Wiki to run a maintenance routine (or on save) where it looks at the topic's contents, and automatically makes wikiwords or wiki-links out of words inside the content that could be linked to topics that are already available.  Something that would go through and put double-brackets around words with already existing topics in the wiki... so the user doesn't have to be aware of all existing topics and manually having to create their own.

4.) Perhaps functionality like the message boards that allow a user to get notified when a topic is changed.

Thank you!
Mike

Thanks for the feedback Mike. Your ideas are definitely work looking into. I'll be trying to take some time this weekend to go over a roadmap for the Wiki and see what we can get scheduled. I've got a few things I'm trying to finish up tonight on some other projects and after those are done I can give the Wiki some more time.

I'll look into the RSS issues as well for the next release.
