I have installed the new dnn version 4.5.1 and I have problem with the modules,

Any modules i try to add to the page doesnt show up , it only show up the setting.

For ex: I add the Text/HTML module on the page, it should add a text line said 'Enter the content here... blabla" automatically

but now it doesnt show at all, even it doesnt have an edit button for me to edit, other modules also has the same problem, only show up only the setting.

Firstly I thought it should be wrong with my skins, so i load the default blue skin, it didnt solve the problem.

The funny thing is it was ok with the first time, after playing around it suddenly become like this.

Any advise guys?

Are you in the "view" or "edit" mode with the radio button in the top left of the page? Do you have "design" selected in the icons in the iconbar?

Hi there i am in the edit mode (there are two radio buttons on the top left handside)

This is pretty strange. I try to check the event log but it has been disabled. so i trace them in the database, when i refresh the page it always create an error.

Here I paste the error log properties:

<LogProperties>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>ModuleId</PropertyName><PropertyValue>397</PropertyValue></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>ModuleTitle</PropertyName><PropertyValue>Text/HTML</PropertyValue></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>TabModuleID</PropertyName><PropertyValue>-1</PropertyValue></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>TabID</PropertyName><PropertyValue>56</PropertyValue></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>PortalID</PropertyName><PropertyValue>0</PropertyValue></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>ModuleDefId</PropertyName><PropertyValue>93</PropertyValue></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>FriendlyName</PropertyName><PropertyValue /></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>IconFile</PropertyName><PropertyValue /></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>Visibility</PropertyName><PropertyValue>Maximized</PropertyValue></LogProperty>
<LogProperty><PropertyName>ContainerSrc</PropertyName><PropertyValue /></LogProperty></LogProperties>

LogTypeKey: MODULE_CREATED

I know the log properties didnt give much information. Any advise? Please let me know what else you need to know so i could

fix it.

cheers

andy

Hi,

What do you mean by design mode in here. Is It only View and Edit mode?
If we can specify the design where can i find it?
