Hi All,

I have installed DNN quite a few times and am now trying to install on a clean machine, everything local.

IIS configured properly as well as folder permissions.

I've created and deleted the DotNetNuke database a few times now.
I cannot ssem to get connected at all and keep getting this error:

Message: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

PLEASE, someone tell me what I'm missing, not doing, screwing up!!
Just point me in a direction... :-)
This is normally so easy.

Thanks,

Lindsay

Yeah, that being disabled by default has been a REAL pain...I always forget to change the setting on installation...
