Hi,

I am very new to DNN. I have recently downloaded DNN4.5.1. When the host applies a skin to a page or module, I imgaine that the information that the page or module uses the applied skin is stored in the database.
When an end-user accesses a page in the portal, does DNN query the DB to find which skin has been applied and then create a user control ascx file by embedding the modules in place of the tokens? Is this done everytime a user access the page or is the information cached?

I think what would be ideal is to create the user controls when the host applies the skins. This way the controls would get precompiled on first access and improve the performance for subsequent access. It would be as good as a non-dynamic web application.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Thanks,
Yash
