Oh, I forgot to mention that I fixed my problem yesterday...
Vanderland, here is what I did to get it working.
1. Logged into the website as host
2. Went to the Portal Settings page.
3. In the portal settings, I added only two HTTPAliases:
{machine name, used by local network to access}
{external web address as accessible from the internet}
So you do not need to add your static IP address. Simply add the following HTTPAliases to your portal:
www.vanderland.com
localhost
{Webserver's machineName} **
** This is somewhat optional: If your local network is larger than just
your webserver, and you can't use www.vanderland.com from inside your
local network to access the webserver (a common problem with normal
routing abilities), then the machine name can be used by other
computers on the local network to access the website.
