Yes, here is what you need to do:

Download the install.zip version of the Forums module 03.20.09

Extract the file '03.20.07.SqlDataProvider' and open it in a text editor of your choice!

Find this line: @Filter + ' GROUP BY P.ThreadID , P.CreatedDate ORDER BY P.CreatedDate DESC '

Alter it to: @Filter + ' GROUP BY P.ThreadID , P.CreatedDate ORDER BY P.ThreadID '

Save the file and put it back (copy/paste) into 'Forum_03.20.09_Install.resources.zip'

Then you just upload it via the "Install New Module" right over your existing forums module, and it should work.

This worked flawlessly for me on two different portals.

You don't by chance know the stored procedure name on that one do you?

I have a fixed version of the module that fixes this bug.  This is a problem with SQL Server 2005, not the module.

Hi Vollerworld,

do you know what happens to my installed v03.20.09 forum if I install your file over it ?
I doubt the stored procedure will be exchanged by the fixed one as the version of the module hasn't changed.

Or am I wrong ?

cu, Tom.
