Johan,

great attitude, very much appreciated. We are well aware, that there is a lack of decumentation, due to our limited resources.

Just a hint: have a look at the GuidedTour and OnlineHelp here on DotNetNuke.com, there are a number of usuful descriptions.

Good luck!

Cheers from Germany,

If you would want to share your doc I would be really happy, since it has been on my todo list for a while and I never found the time to start.

this topic was discussed way back during dnn2 and a number of members started to produce online manuls - most of these were small hosters etc. The problem was that there was no agreement on a branding to use for the screen captures - some did not want dotnetnuke branding some wanted their own branding etc etc and so the project simply broke up and every one produced their own - the other problem was the method used to produce the online manuals - I use Robo demo Robo html for my clients.

There is one member that produces Video manuals that you can subscribe to and these are very good. I did have DNN2 in Robo Demo up and online for public use but I am now only updating that  as time is available ( my clients run on a customised version thus the client manuals are more appropriate to this then the straight DNN)

However I will update the public version and you can link to this in your client help system. I belive Byte via its www.dotnetnuke.com.au ruls has available both print and pdf manuals for most of the versions.

It would be nice to get an 'open source' user documentation project going.

I can contribute to this. But where do I get hold of a word dotnetnuke template ? And in which project shall I publish this end user manual ? I think this pdf that I originally will produce in word should be published in word so that all members can add their on extensions to this "pdf" manual in word format and then make a pdf themselfs .... but 95 % of this manual could be created be me (or the dotnetnuke community) in 100% DNN style and template .... the point is that when adding 5% in the manual with your own modules and such developers would need access to the word format original ? Isn't that correct?
