I downloaded DNN4.5.1 Source and found that some of the modules in the DesktopModules folder have .vb files but some do not (ex. Links and IFrame have .ascx but no .vb).  Where is the .vb source for these modules?

all the core modules can be modified - go to the project in question page where you can download the module - generally the source can be downloaded from there - if not check the sourceforge archives

Thanks Famdylan, I found and downloaded the source code.  Are there directions anywhere for how/where to install the source code?  There's a lot more there than I realized.

what do you mean?  you can open the source code as a solution in visual studio - this is the easiest and change what you want then recompile and deploy the new ascx and dll files (and what ever supporting files you need) or you can pull it into the dnn project intself and work with it there
