Hi,

I'm new to dotnetnuke, and have been setting up and configuring a site which is going fairly well.

I'm stumped with that (I think!) should be an easy problem to solve, but I'm not sure if I'm even looking in the right place.

What I need is a news/articles section. I don't want each article to appear in the menu, so I don't want to create them as new "pages". I want to be able to have a single page called "my articles" or similar, then be able to add articles to that list, the list needs to contain just the title of each article as a hyperlink, and clicking the link should display the details. In phpnuke this was achieved using the news module, but in dotnetnuke the news module seems purely rss related. I've tried using the announcements module, but that seems a really messy way of doing it (ie having to create hundreds of pages in the site (one for each article), the having to manually add the links...).

This sounds like really simple functionality, that everyone would want, so perhaps I'm missing something?

From a core module perspective, you could put a Blog module instance on a page, and modify the display to not show any characters of the post (I think it is possible).  Then it would link to the full content as you desire.

If you are possibly looking for a different approach you might look at various third party news modules, potentially Ventrian's News Articles module if you are looking for a more skinnable display.
