Hi!

Hope to get some help from you with this problem.

I have a portal in swedish, everything works fine. Then my customer wanted an english version of the site so I created a child portal with default langauage setting English.  I have created links from both of those sites so the visitor can browse and change portal.
The problem is that the English portal shows in swedish, even if I have set the default language for this portal to English.

How can this happen? Could it be a caching problem?
What can I do to resolve this problem?

Best regards Petri

this might be an issue with the cookie, that holds your language settings and is used for the whole portal.

Ideas:

  • use parentportal on subdomain instead of subportals (en.myportal.sv instead of www.myportal.sv/en)
  • append "?lang=en" to the URL used for switching
