Is it normal behavior for the View/Edit toggle to be present for any logged in registered user? I would have thought it just would appear for host/admin users. Can it be turned off so that behavior goes back to normal for regular users?

I'm not sure what the question is.  Are you asking where to put the code that I mentioned in that post?
