AD Gurus,

My Active Directory Authentication broke when I upgraded to 4.5.1 and for the life of me I cannot fix it. What you see below is what is in the Event Log, but I do NOT get logged in automatically NOR do I get logged in by forcing myself to ../admin/Security/Windowssignin.aspx. Nothing changed in my environment except this upgrade.  I've even gone as far as deleting my account and recreating it by logging in with domain credentials; no joy.

I really need someone experienced to help me systematically troubleshoot this problem because I am getting beat up over it. It's as if I cut their fingers off and threw them a keyboard.

What are your symptoms?

Auto login no longer works. Even worse, navigating to the /admin/security/windowssignin.aspx no longer logs you in. I have a link on the site that points a user to that page if they fail to log in and it used to work flawlessly. Now, the only way to log in is to use the LogIn page with DOMAIN\UserName combination.

Reading that message it shows that the user is getting logged in. What throws me is that it's recording all zeros for the IP (or did you change that?). In any case, what the users are seeing is that they aren't logged in correct? Does it happen to show them logged out right after a login success?

Many appologies on the IP Address Mike, that is sensitive infromation so I changed it to all zeros. You are correct on the second part, users aren't seeing themselves as logged in. The third part is a negative, it does not show them logging out prior to the successful login.
