I have been playing around with the Gallery today and I'm not sure if
I'm doing something wrong or maybe I'm confused as to what the gallery
is to be used for. With that being said I am needing to be able to
display some pictures, one at a time for a given interval.

This could be considered a rotating banner image, we currently
do this with flash. But basically I just want to rotate some
pictures.

So I tried uploading several files to the gallery, set the slideshow
speed, checked the box for enable slideshow and then clicked
on the update link.

When I navigate to the page, I would like for the slideshow to
start automatically (it doesn't).

Is this possible with the Gallery ?

At the moment the gallery does not do this.  You need to select the "albumn" you want to view, and then if you select/click the slideshow option it will popup another window where you can see the albumn in a slideshow. There is no way to have it come up automatically.
