I'm not a hot shot developer or coder (which is why I like DNN so much). I recently purchased a pleasing skin through SnowCovered (great service). The skin installed and everything looks cool, except that for my module settings, whether I check or clear the Enable Print setting, no print icon appears on the containers.

When I put in an original DNN container, it does have the print function.

The vendor says in reply to my query "Talked to our developer and it's not our fault. Check the DNN documentation."

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, can anyone suggest where in the world I'm supposed to look for whatever it is I'm supposed to be looking for?

Or is that an unsatisfactory answer?

They probably did not add the print skinobject to the container. Check for:

dnn:ACTIONBUTTON3 runat="server" id="dnnACTIONBUTTON3" CommandName="PrintModule.Action" DisplayIcon="True" DisplayLink="False"

in the container .ascx

there can also be a <dnn:print ...> control used instead (and I prefer TemplatePrint from dnnjungle.vmasanas.com).

You're right, I could find no code like that in their container files (and there's a bunch of them).

I compared their .ascx against the standard dnn ones and they seem to be missing all kinds of ACTIONBUTTON references.

I'm not experimentally inclined or blessed with abundant free time.

Is there an easy way to understand this so I can get the print function without risking breaking my site and having to restore from a backup?

That TemplatePrint DOES produce a nicer printable page, but I would have been happier if the original containers just had the standard function and I didn't have to go find a new coder's cap to wear.

But I do appreciate your suggestion, and that's maybe what I'll do.
