I'm building a dnn portal for clients that will require modules to access data from behind our firewall. Webservices I believe is the way to go on this but I want to kick-around some ideas for feedback since I'm new to working with webservices.

The modules are on the server in our DMZ and they will consume webservices behind our firewall. These webservices will require access to the module settings objects that are on the DMZ portal. So do I create the webservices (located behind the firewall) to consume the module setting objects wrapped in a webservice on the portal (perhaps using the IWeb module)? Is that possible? Any ideas and feedback is greatly appreciated.

I've been through Michael Washingtons webservice examples at http://iweb.adefwebserver.com but can anyone point me to an example of a DNN module that consumes a webservice from outside the DNN framework.

Thanks!
