I read through the basic links in the first post here but didn't find my answer.  As I understand it the supports partial rendering option wraps the module in the ajax enabled update panel.  I have two modules who use intermodule communication.  I enabled ajax on one module and tried it and it works great with no postback but did not update the values in module #2.  I then enabled ajax on module number two.  Now when module 1 calls module 2 to update I get the following exception in a popup.

Sys.InvalidOperationException: Could not find the UpdatePanel with ID 'dnn_ctr..mymodulehere'.  If it is being updated dynamically then it must be inside another UpdatePanel.

What am I missing?  Thanks in advance.

Wallew

Nevermind.  I closed the browser session and logged back in and all is well.  Great job on this extension!!

I had this problem as well. It is really annoying as it only comes out randomly. I have tried all the possible changes which suggested from other forums but it seems doesn't help much. By closing the browser seesion and log back in is one solution for us but not the "users". For my scenario, because of that error message, the user thought it might not be working and hence he hit the "send" button for few times which will fax multiple copy of reports to client, which is not good at all...ahhhh. any help would be greatly apprecaite. Thanks

Upgrading to DNN4.8.2 fixed that random occurrence of that error.  It was a pain to deal with in the meantime though.
