Hi All,

I've create a module that has a usercontrol containing a ComponentOne control - the WebTopicBar. Everything goes smoothly until I try to add the module to a DNN page, at which point I get the following error:

The string parameter 'tagPrefix' cannot be null or empty. Parameter name: tagPrefix

Can anyone shed some light on this? Are there any prerequisites to use C1 components with DNN?

THanks.

Fleming

I've been using C1 just fine.  What method are you using to develop your modules?  I'm using the WAP method per the following link: http://www.bitethebullet.co.uk/DNN4CSharpTemplate/tabid/79/Default.aspx and have developed several (10+) modules, some with C1, some not.

I have noticed that *sometimes* it tries to create a web.config in my project file which helps (sometimes I need to create it) at least long enough to slap the control onto a page, then you gotta delete it before trying to use the module in your dev environment because it gets kinda sad with it there.

Thanks for replying.

I believe we had installed the DNN templates only, and I was just adding user controls to the sample DNN application (I think). I tried going through the script (from the link you sent) with out current installation and I was getting build errors.

So, we're going to reinstall with sources and follow the script again . Hopefully, that'll solve it.

Thanks again.
