Hi,

We are developing/maintaining a set of fifteen DNN modules in our web application which is hosted in our local
intranet website. We want to upgrade the modules on a daily basis using our build automation tool FinalBuilder.

I checked the IUpgradeable interface but I couldn't figure out how it works. Can anyone
throw some light on how we can upgrade modules (install/reinstall) modules in an automated
manner...

* Can DNN itself check for upgrades for modules? If so, how this works?
* Can I write a webservice within DNN, so that it takes the latest version of modules from FTP/folder and installs it within the DNN Framework?
* Can the DNN module upgrade itself? How this might work?

Thanks, srikanth.

you could upload the modules to the /install/module folder, and then schedule (from an external application, eg a scheduled vbscript) a request to [yourhostname]/install/install.aspx?mode=installresources

This will autoinstall the new versions.

Cheers,
