I am also interested in this. I did suspect it would be a skinning issue more than a module development issue but don't know where to start.

We are quite interested in having DotNetNuke running well on mobile platforms. Like everything else however, it's a question of prioritization of resources and time. I suggest adding the specific requirements on the Community Roadmap page to see if others in the community have as much interest in mobile capabilities:

I must respectfully disagree with the premise that this is simply a skinning issue. IMO such an approach would be disastrous for usability. While it surely possible for web pages to be displayed on mobile devices, the reality is that for any substantial usage, applications must adjust the user experience to meet the expectations of the mobile user. Of course, if the use case is primarily about pushing information without much in the way of activity, a simple skin will certainly do the trick. For more interactive apps, I think a more comprehensive solution is needed.

EDIT: The dotMobi Web Developer Guide illustrates the specific issues that must be overcome to make DotNetNuke truly mobile-friendly.

Hi Nik,

In my case it is for viewing information at this stage.

A navigation menu [SOLPARTMENU] should be the first priority to make DNN windows mobile friendly because without that we wouldn't be able to jump from webpage to webpage. When I browse my website in Windows Mobile, the SOLPARTMENU links are aligned vertical rather than horizontal and the links are unclickable.
