Hey Chris,

Gotta tell you, i'm really excited to use Wiki for our DNN Site.  I admit, i'm a noob when it comes to DNN, and i was able to stumble thru the installation of that (4.4.1) .. the problem that i'm having is trying to find how to install the module.  I downloaded the module, looked thru it for a read me, but I couldn't find anything.  I tried to look thru the DNN site for a Tutorial on how to install regular mods, and couldn't really find anything..  I'm sure it's out there, but just not finding anything.

Funny enough, I couldn't find a wiki on the DNN Wiki on how to install dnnwiki... Would you be able to point me into the right direction?  I would appreciate it.

Thanks

~Doc

Login as HOST

Under the HOST menu go to Module Definitions

At the bottom of the Container you should see an Install New Module Link

Upload the ZIP file you downloaded for the Wiki module

Basic module install instructions :)

Thanks for asking this Doc. I was struggling too. Brand new to DNN ... VERY interested in the Wiki module ... wow, had no idea it was that easy. I couldn't find these simple instructions in any of the documentation for DNN either. Worked like a charm. Thanks again.

I'm with ya buddy :D

I got it installed, a couple usage hints tho...

1)  Plan your wiki topics.  You should add 1 topic per wiki module/page, for instance, i'm working on a guild website...So, For Warlocks, i have topics for each talent, macro, gear, etc.  It seems to work very nicely.  That way, under the topics that are all related to that module will show up under the topic index.

2)  When you link to another Wiki Module, link like this:   [ [ Topic Title Link|Home|45 ] ]  the reason you use home, is to make sure that you go to the opening wiki page.  the 45 is the module number.

Thats all i can think of now, but yeah, those of us who are new to DNN, don't know the very basics, or they are wizard driven and we don't know the hard parts of it.
