Hello,

Shortly after installing and spending just a little time experimenting with adding modules, now I can't log in either as host or admin. I get the following message:

A critical error has occurred. Multiple controls with the same ID 'icoContact Info' were found. FindControl requires that controls have the same IDs.

What causes this and what can I do about it?

Thanks,

Steve M.

I'm getting this same problem when editing a user's profile.  any changes aren't saved, and I get this error message after hitting "update".  I do have some custom date fields as user profile properties, would that interfere?

I've located the problem with my portal.  An administrator had added a profile property under the category "contact info", which differs in case from the other properties in the category "Contact Info".  This never produced any warnings or any other indicators other than the same error as the post above.

Hope this helps someone else...

This is an very old thread, so I'm turning attention to the second poster.

Are you running "Bulk User Manager"? in which case contact the suppliers. Otherwise please specify DNN version.
