I had several DNN sites running DNN 4.5.1 and using SQL Server Express on my own server.

I detached the databases, uninstalled SQL Server Express and installed SQL Server Workgroup

I attached the databases to the new SQL Server and changed all web.config connection strings.

I can browse the sites fine (so the new connection works fine) but when I try to login with ANY login it is refused (invalid username or password).

How can I recover from this?  Is the machinekey (whici I have NOT changed since no DNN upgrade has taken place) the culprit?  Or the password salt in the aspnet_membership table?

Please help!
