Hi

I have just installed KB931768 security update for IE, and now I am not able to logon to DNN. When I browse the logon page, I get a message box in IE saying: "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site. http://localhost/dotnetnuke/Home/tabid/165/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fdotnetnuke%2fDefault.aspx

Operation Aborted.

I have tried to step through the code to see where it breaks, but so far I cannot see that any exceptions are being thrown. It looks like IE does not like the HTML rendered by PageBase.vb, but this is just my guess.

Since the Microsoft patch is fairly new, I haven't seen too many postings related to it. The problem is my company is insisting on rolling it out within 2 weeks.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi

Having done some more debugging, it turned out to be a false alarm. The problem is not with DNN, but with some JavaScript in my skin. The IE patch addresses some code injection vulnerabilities, and for some reason it seems to conflict what we do to modify the corporate header.

I hope no-one has spent any time trying to debug this problem.

I am experiencing this issue on a site where the skin or content have not been modified in months.

The site renders fine in FF but I get the operation aborted error in IE.

Any ideas? The site is www.cmoamerica.com . You can see it in FF.

www.cmopromo.com also uses the same skin but works in IE and FF.
